Our Story

The GOAT started in a farmhouse.

Before Dick’s Mixes became a premium craft mixer brand, it was a homemade Bloody Mary recipe poured for family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to be nearby.

Thirty years of flavor. One very obvious idea.

Our story started over 30 years ago in a farmhouse in Nevada City, where Richard “Dick” perfected his Bloody Mary recipe by hand for family and friends.

For years, it was the drink people remembered. The one they asked for again. The one that made regular gatherings feel a little more legendary.

Then came the moment that changed everything: a Little League BBQ fundraiser, one sip, and someone saying, “You’ve got to bottle this.” So we did.

Even the big bad wolf couldn't huff and puff away the enchanting charm of The Magic Box.
